What is a Vow Renewal Ceremony?

Simply put, it is a chance to renew your wedding vows, or share new ones, with your spouse. It could be 1 year after your wedding, it could be 20 years… it may not be a set amount of time, but you are choosing to scream your love following a turbulent time. There are no legal requirements for a Vow Renewal, you’ve done the contract signing, so the pressure is off and you can simple eeeeeenjoy!

It is a celebratory advantage as you are not restricted to any formalities at all! Whereever, whenever you want*

There are no legal fees and you do not need to advise the Registry – just your mates and famalam to get the date in their diaries!

It’s all about freedom of choice, it is popular to have a Vow Renewal when:

  • You’ve gotten married abroad with a limited number of guests
  • You are reaching a milestone anniversary
  • You have grown as a couple since getting married
  • You have gotten through some tough times together and want to celebrate the deep love
  • Your old vows need updating! To include kids for example

What to say?

Well you can repeat your original vows of course, but you can also write new ones (or use a Celebrant to help write new ones).
