Weddings, Civil Partnerships, Commitment Ceremonies & Vow Renewals
Yay! You’re planning a Wedding! Now, if you want to celebrate your unique love story your way, how about a wedding ceremony to avoid template scripted services? The Ceremony is the heart of your wedding day, so let’s make it fun and a moment no one will forget!
Oh, and if you are already married, I am also super happy to help you renew your vows too.
Planning a wedding ceremony is a very exciting, yet busy, time with lots of boxes to tick, but it is all worth it.
We talk a lot about your love during this time!
You’ll open up and share your relationship so that your ceremony will capture the essence of you!
Being an Event Director certainly helps me support you planning your ceremony. My main job though is to get to know you and help deliver the perfect day for you, from scratch, that represents who you are.
Your ceremony can take place anywhere, and can be as formal or relaxed and laid-back as you like. It can include fairly traditional elements, or it can be slightly quirky. Whatever is right for you!
Some partners even love the freedom to allow fancy dress and themes…
♥
By using a celebrant, you have few restrictions. You can hire a venue, use outdoor space, the garden, use that “special place” that you both adore… any venue is a possible venue with a wedding vow ceremony – including licenced venues.
You have the choice of either a Celebrant or Registrar at licenced venues.
♥
If you don’t belong to any faith, so don’t want it included, you can do that.
If you are mixed faith and want a blended ceremony, yup, you can do that.
If you are of faith, well I am a Minister, RevDeb is happy to incorporate any faith into your ceremony!
♥
You can write your own vows and readings – I can get you on your way, or even write them for you.
Make your own rules!
You can choose what traditional elements you want, or you can create your own magical day built upon elements that work for you.
You are encouraged to invite key family and friends to be involved in your ceremony too if you want something really unique.
You can include any symbolism that is important to you, which may stem from spiritual beliefs (for example, a handfasting ceremony) or something deeply personal to you both. Both love Pirates? ‘Aar be including some treasures in your ceremony
You will be guided, over months before your wedding day, through the creation of your commitment ceremony, and a Celebrant is there for you – on hand throughout your planning journey, plus a friendly face taking you both through the best day of your lives!
LGBTQ+ (& humans in general) Loving! I am incredibly passionate about ensuring that every single member of our wonderfully vast society can have the wedding they choose, regardless of race, religion or sexual orientation. It goes without saying (though I will say it): Love is Love.
The main thing to remember is this day is all about you and what you want, and your ceremony is created using your life and love story, no generic blurb!

Please remember though: If you would like to be legally married you can get married by a civil ceremony or a religious ceremony. Soon Civil Celebrants may be able to perform legal marriage ceremonies, until then, in both cases, the following legal requirements must be met:-
The marriage (not the wedding, lets not confuse the two) must be conducted by a person or in the presence of a person authorised to register marriages in the district
The marriage must be entered in the marriage register and signed by both parties, two witnesses, the person who conducted the ceremony and, if that person is not authorised to register marriages, the person who is registering the marriage
In England and Wales, 28 days notice must be given to the Register Office before the marriage can take place. You have to get married within 12 months of giving notice. Both partners must be resident for seven days in England or Wales before notice is given. A notice must state where the marriage is to take place. There is a fee for giving notice. How to make your ceremony yours.
You can include a ceremony within a ceremony, that symbolises the unity of a wedding. These can also be referred to rituals, and can be incorporated into your day.
Below are some of the more traditional, but if you are looking for something a little more “wow” I have other examples that we can chat about once I get to know you and what may suit you.
